Needless to say, Best Buy has got some of the most competitive prices around when it comes to electronics, but they also have one of the best credit cards around too.

If you apply for a reward zone mastercard, you’ll be able to not only take advantage of their electronics sales, but you’ll also be able to save about four percent off of the purchases (throught their cash back program) that you make in store when you use your reward zone mastercard to pay for your purchase. All other purchases that you make using this credit card get you two percent cash back. So if you start using this credit card to pay your every day bills, you can quickly be seeing some decent cashback returns!!

For example, if you spend about $1200 every month using your reward zone mastercard, you will be eligible to receive about twenty four dollars back for that month, even if these aren’t purchases that you have made at best buy itself!

But, if you get yourself the bigscreen tv that you have been looking for or the surround sound stereo system that you want (let’s say that it costs about $2400), you could receive about ninety six dollars back if you buy it from best buy using your reward zone mastercard (a little different program than say the barclays credit card or the elan credit card.

So if you end up using your card for additional large purchases (like, say an all inclusive trip to the bahamas) you will be saving an extra four percent just by using this card.

Generating additional savings like this has become so much easier lately, with many specialty retailers (like best buy) teaming up with large companies (like mastercard) to offer their clients a decent credit card. Now, you have the best of both worlds, where you can shop at your favorite retailer and get additional rebates, while having the flexibility of having a mastercard. Another nice perk is that if you spend more than twenty five hundred dollars in best buy in one year (using your mastercard, of course) then you can qualify for additional savings along the lines of more cashback in the form of an additional quarter percent on your purchases.

Be aware – you need to redeem your cashback credits within a few months, as they do expire if you don’t apply them at all.

Also, reward credit cards like these do charge higher interest rates and late payment fees. So if you can’t afford to pay off your balance every month, don’t bother getting the card. It doesn’t matter what sort of perks you receive, as they will never outweigh the cost of having to pay the monthly interest fee.

You really need to watch the late payments because if you’re ever late by a day or more, you will get charged over twenty percent in interest fees on your balance, and oftentimes you will incur an additional late payment charge of thirty or fourty dollars. So be sure to pay your balance off in full every month – even if this means transferring your existing balance to a lower interest line of credit or something.

The reward zone master card is a great card, however if you aren’t a proper steward over your credit cards and spending habits, it is just like any other credit card in that you can really get in trouble and end up paying way too much for your purchases and could even ruin your credit rating!

So be careful in how you use this card. The reward zone mastercard is an incredible card that can save you a lot of money when it comes to their cashback options, but you still need to read the fine print of the deal.
